Vintage record cover: Geier Sturzflug
in Funblog
A new series with favourite sleeves from my vinyl collection…
I have a weak spot for Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) music of the early 80’s. Cheerful tunes which combine pop, rock, punk and wave, and often humouristic or critical German lyrics. This Dreimal täglich record by Geier Sturzflug, mostly known from their earlier hit Bruttosozialprodukt, is not one of the highlights from this genre (like for instance Spider Murphy Gang, Fehlfarben or Extrabreit). The music is actually quite conventional pop/rock. I do like the cover design though, so I guess it’s worth the 1 euro I spent on the record.
