TV nostalgia
in Funblog
This month I can temporarily receive the ‘digital’ history channel /Geschiedenis on my tv. Most of the programs they offer are quite interesting, but especially two music shows originally broadcasted by the VPRO in the early 80’s were interesting to me.
Götterdämmerung 2000 contains partly unique footage from Joy Division (Shadowplay live in ‘78), Comsat Angels, Cabaret Voltaire (No escape), Theatre of Hate, A Certain Ratio (Crippled Child), Birthday Party, Siouxie & The Banshees and more;
Hotel Suburbia offers performances by The Gun Club (live in Paradiso), The Honeymoon Killers from Brussels (also known as Les Tueurs de la Luna de Miel), T.C. Matic, Style Council and a special about upcoming bands from Wassenaar, including Ensemble Pittoresque.
The shows are repeated until Friday November 9 (so hurry up) and can also be watched online (only as live stream, see the schedule).
