The Essence is back

At a record fair I found two cheap LP’s from The Essence: Purity (1985) and A Monument of Trust (1987).
Despite the similarities in sound to The Cure, I think The Essence are one of the finest Dutch wave bands. For some reason they were most popular in Spain, thanks to their hit ‘A Mirage’.
Recently the band reformed and started working on new material and playing live again. At their website you can see two clips from a recent gig.
