White Rose Transmission resurrected
in News
Carlo van Putten has resurrected the project White Rose Transmission. A new cd called Bewitched & Bewildered is forthcoming on Pop One Records in October 2006.
White Rose Transmission made two albums and performed sporadically in the late 1990s. Its members included Carlo van Putten (the Convent) and Adrian Borland (the Sound). After the death of Borland, it became silent around WRT. Now Van Putten has resurrected the project, with the help of Mark Burgess (The Chameleons), Florian Bratmann and David Maria Gramse.
For Bewitched & Bewildered you can expect a mostly acoustic guitar album with added touches of bass, violin and keyboards. A special edition of the album comes with a bonus cd with three acoustic cover versions of All About Eve, Edie Brickell and Heather Nova. They are perfomed by Carlo van Putten on vocals with Marty Willson Piper and Martin Bosker on guitar.
Two new songs are online at myspace. Here you can find some upcoming live dates as well, including Dutch concerts in Utrecht and Hengelo.
