Arbre Noir has released its fourth album through Polymorph Records. On Madurai, Arbre Noir concentrates entirely on the ancient culture of India.

Various traditional Indian instruments (thavil, ghatam, kanjeera, mridangam etc.) and Hindi speech samples are used on the 15 tracks. Besides guitars, bass and melodica, Arbre Noirs sound is once again also defined by the use of the didgeridoo (even though the instrument comes from a completely different region than India).
