Calle Della Morte - A Dio
in folk, Reviews
Together with the release of this mcd, the end of Calle Della Morte was announced. After three years, the Italian project calls it quits, after various limited vinyls and a cd on Hau Ruck! SPQR. Only a 7″ single can be expected before the definitive end.
‘A Dio’ is a friendly priced mini cd in a slim cardboard sleeve. There are six tracks on it, including an intro and an outro, which leaves four real songs.
The music of Calle Della Morte can be described as acoustic pop/folk with a touch of traditional Italian folklore, in the vein of Spiritual Front or some work of Ain Soph. The songs are quite tranquil, with rather simple compositions, but pleasant to listen to. My favourite piece is ‘Lame di Cartone’, which has a nice melody and nostalgic atmosphere.
It’s a pity that Calle Della Morte will be disbanded, but I’m sure we will hear more of its members Jonny B (Inner Glory) and Vinz I.H.S.V.
