These lovely nymphs amongst the lilies form one of the many beautiful Romantic paintings of John William Waterhouse (1849-1917): (”Hylas and the Nymphs”, 1896).

Below another painting from John William Waterhouse: (”The Lady of Shalott”, 1888). The Lady of Shalott is a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson (1842). This poem was a very popular subject theme for Victorian painters.
