Daniel Patrick Quinn: new release

Suilven Recordings announces the release of Ridin’ The Stang by 24 year-old avant-folk pioneer Daniel Patrick Quinn. It’s the follow-up to last year’s album “Severed From The Land”.

As usual, all instruments (voice, violin, guitar, cello, trumpet, hamonica, synths, broken bass, shabby percussion) were played by DPQ himself, although 60-year old Duncan Grahl makes a guest appearance as narrator/ringleader on drunk folklore rabble piece “The Burryman”, and is goaded on by Chris Dutton. Recorded entirely in a botched studio at DPQ’s farmyard residence in rural East Lothian.
