new on Hive Records

Available now:

  • Terminal Sound System – “Solaris” [HIV.05]
The debut release from TSS [also one half of the Relapse records artist HALO], it has remained unreleased since 1999 – until now. Completely remastered and now featuring remixes by Hive Records artist Retnah and Ad Noiseam artist Larvae.

A fluid melding of deep, cold drones, disorienting archaic textures, and unnerving sub-bass rhythms. Splicing shuffling elements of noise, breakbeat, ambient, illbient and trip hop, TSS have created an amalgamation which carries through the speakers as equal parts lilting fragile ambience and shrapnel throwing bass expulsions.

  • Chango Feo – “Alaska” [HIV.06].
A shifting tapestry of weird frequencies, digitized robotic sermons, and ambient voyages. Sonically, Chango Feo flirts with the near-IDM industrialisma that bands such as Gridlock and Mad Monkey labelmates Neutral have popularised recently.
This enhanced CD comes with digital liner notes and a video for the track “La Malinche”, produced by Metawerks studios, and featuring Butoh performances by legendary dancer Abe “M” Aria, and Bob DeNatale from the Flesh and Blood Mystery in San Francisco. CD comes packaged in a round metal case.

Both releases are limitied to only 100 copies!
