Gae Bolg and the Church of Fand – Tintagel

The new LP from this French band is a picture disc with humorous drawings, originally limited to 77 copies for subscribers only, later expanded with 296 copies. Tintagel was a famous castle in the Middle Ages, now only a ruin, in Cornwall, where King Arthur lived according to the legend.

The album contains 12 tracks in their now well-known style, folky music with a medieval atmosphere, with a touch of humour. Powerful drumming, theatrical singing, flutes and trumpets make this release a feast for your ears. I like this album a lot more than the previous 10″, this goes more in the direction of the debut cd of Gae Bolg.
