Pow(d)er Pussy is a collaboration between This Morn’ Omina and Ah Cama-Sotz. Both are succesful and well known Belgian industrial projects. On the debut EP One Day Pow(d)er Pussy surprised with harsh but modern dance beats with an old skool EBM like mood.
Six Ways from Sunday is not very different. So, on this second record there are more steamy dance beats with a raw edge to be found. The music has a modern character but also a clear link with the past due to EBM, rave, wave and a few acid references.
‘2 Cryogenicpussylover’ is a guaranteed clubhit with its addictive and distorted beats. The noisy ‘e.b.s.’ also stands out with its powerful ongoing rhythms. There are also some more quite pieces on Six Ways from Sunday with attention to mood (‘Cateatscuckoo’ and ‘n-rot’). But also these tracks are rhythmic orientated.
Pow(d)er Pussy has proven with this real debut that the project is not just simple This Morn’ Omnia versus Ah Cama-Sotz, but an original project on its self. Six Ways from Sunday is a successful mix between (accessible) industrial and dance music: Truly industrial for the masses.
