Allerseelen affairs

It are busy times for Allerseelen and its fans. We have just been treated to various vinyl reissues of older albums like Gotos=Kalanda, the low-budget cd compilation Edelweiss and the limited 7″ single Knospe. For 2006 Gerhard has announced various more plans.

New Joys of Nature

The Joy of Nature from Portugal has dropped the “and Discipline” from its name. That’s not the only news: they have a new website and a reissue of their album “The Fog That Life Is Haunted By” by the Polish label Bunkier Productions, with two extra tracks and new artwork.

New Visions

.Angle.Rec. has announced a limited vinyl release of Visions, the ambient project of Cyclic Law label boss Frédéric Arbour. The 10″ with 2 new tracks will be released at the end of March and is limited to a mere 250 copies. Mp3 excerpts of “Celestial Sphere” are already available.

Hand to mouth

French netlabel La Main Gauche presents: Various Artists 2006 – Mouth of the Night, a free online compilation with 32 tracks of ambient, drone, experimental sounds. It features Terroritmo, Planetaldol, Gerostenkorp and many even obscurer acts.

New retro action from ICK

The new LP of French industrialists ICK is out now. “Les actions rétro-actives” (La Nouvelle Alliance: LNA010) is limited to 300 copies and contains 10 tracks. More info about ICK @ noiseweb or myspace.

Cold Meat bursts out of the freezer

Sweden’s Cold Meat Industry label is really on a roll this year with plenty of live action. After an Australian tour and events in Zürich, Arnhem and Paris, there will be CMI festivals in London and Gent (Belgium). There are also many recent releases to celebrate.

Something new under the KC sun

Zine compilations

Attention neofolk fans! Two of the best ‘zines from the scene have released compilations with some significant acts on board. The Franco-Swiss webzine Heimdallr delivered the LP Europa Aeterna, while UK-based print magazine Judas Kiss came up with the cd Past, Present and Forever.

Re:automation 2.0

A new mp3 compilation from Re:automation, “re:automation 2.0” is now available for download. It features such styles as IDM, electronica, rhythmic noise and power electronics.

New tales by Flint Glass

Othila around the world

The mysterious French project Othila offers its second album, after the debut Elements and the 10″ single Yula. Again released by Divine Comedy Records, Continents contains eight long pieces dedicated to five continents and Atlantis. The music can be described as dark ambient with ritual and filmic elements in a personal style.
