this saturday i went to the yearly museum night in utrecht. on this evening many museums and other cultural places are open till late at night, often with special events. besides visiting the ‘roaring twenties’ setting of museum van speelklok tot pierement and the video-art in the new art centre BAK, i saw the medieval band Harba Lorifa play in the dom tower, as well as a special concert by the now popular dutch group spinvis in the dom church.
after the museum activities i visited a party called ‘cruise control’ at the ACU. the music was a funny mixture of old and new electro, but also poppier hits (‘voyage voyage’), italo-house and some turkish bellydance music. the audience consisted mainly of slick muscular men…
