At the moment The Cure rather stands in the picture. Their classic song ‘Pictures of You’ is being used in a commercial for HP digital photography. MTV regularly shows the special MTV Icon, in which a few bands like The Deftones cover the Cure, with Marilyn Manson presenting the show. Meanwhile the latest Cure-album has received good critics, though I doubt if it is a big commercial success.
