It was to be expected, a musical honouring of the late Jhonn Balance, one of the many tragic deaths in 2004. I suspect that the initiative of darkwinter.com from Ukraine will not be the last tribute to the Coil genius. But it is a sympathetic idea, to make a free downloadable compilation called Full Cold Moon. 36 tracks (almost 200MB) were created by artists especifically for this project. I confess that most artists are completely unknown to me (except for Cordell Klier, Encomiast and Leiche Rustikal), so perhaps some new discoveries can be made. This special release will only be available ‘for one moon cycle’, untill January 25th 2005. The songs can be downloaded individually or in one zip-file.
