it sounds like a very good idea: at fonos.nl you can choose from 15.000 dutch albums, made between 1950-1980, which are not available anymore elsewhere. your choice is taken from the archives of the dutch institute for vision and sound, restored if necessary, digitalized and burned on a cd. for a little less than 20 euro you can enjoy a long forgotten jewel.
unfortunately i couldn’t try the site yet, shortly after the opening it went offline, ‘because of the enormous interest’. now, quite some days later, they still try to make the site available again as soon as possible.
