The life of late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis is the subject of a new film. The Manchester-based production is called Touching From A Distance. The book with the same title by Curtis’s widow Deborah forms the basis for the film. The film is to be directed by Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn, who also directed the ‘Atmosphere’ videoclip of Joy Division and made various photos of the band in 1979 and 1980.
