Kevin Coyne was an unorthodox singer-songwriter with a dark edge and often critical or humurous lyrics. He kept on doing his own thing, about 40 albums long, untill he died of illness this week, aged 60. He was from British origin, but lived in N?rnberg since 1985. He was once discovered by John Peel and his most succesful era was the 70’s, though he always kept a faithful cult following. His best known album is probably Marjory Razorblade (1973). Coyne was also active as a painter and a writer. Fellow musician Gary Lucas wrote a nice story about Coyne.
