A new collaborative work from Lisa Gerrard and Jeff Rona, a score to the movie "A Thousand Roads", has been released through Reincarnate Music.
The 43-minute film, directed by independent filmmaker Chris Eyre, Cheyenne/Arapaho, is a fictional work that follows the lives of four contemporary American Indians as they confront the crises that arise in a single day.
Jeff Rona wrote a column about creating the music for the film commissioned by the Smithsonian Museum of the Native American. The symphonic score includes performances by drummers, a cappella trio Ulali and flutists R. Carlos Nakai and Douglas Spotted Eagle.
