Ostara, the band around Richard Leviathan, will release its third album in December on Eis & Licht. The album is called “Ultima Thule”, the most northern part of the world in antique times, the land of the midnight sun and the polar night. It’s a symbol for the most extreme conditions of existence.
Ostara has two new members. Kari Hatakka, former frontman of Finnish crossover band Waltari plays keyboards. The new guitar player is Stu Mason, former member of US punkband Kampers. The sound of Ostara has also changed: the wave-pop music of the previous album “Kingdom Come” is still present, but there are also clear rock elements added now, especially in the first few songs.
