The Cure to release new album

The Cure will release their first new album in four years on June 21.

The as yet untitled album will come out on American producer Ross Robinson’s I Am label. Robinson, who has worked with Limp Bizkit and Korn, has produced the album, the band’s 13th and their first since 2000’s Bloodflowers.

A promotional visit to the US later this month is planned followed by festival appearances in Europe including the Move Festival at Manchester on July 9 and ireland’s Oxegen Festival on July 10.

Earlier this year, Fiction Records released a Cure collection, Join the Dots: B-sides & Rarities 1978-2001, a 4-CD, 70 song box set.
