In this week’s Cherry Red Records newsletter I read about the reissue of Virgin Prunes‘ live album Sons Find Devils – A live retrospective 1981-1983.
I was a bit surprised, because wasn’t it Mute that recently rereleased other gems from the Prunes’ backcatalogue?
My wonder was not so strange, because according to a statement on virginprunes.com, “fans should be aware that the ‘Cherry Red’ CD and upcoming DVD of the ‘Sons Find Devils’ material (originally released on IKON) are being reissued without the band’s knowledge or consent.”
