A vinyl single with two tracks of this band from Italy, released in 1998. The single is pressed on clear vinyl, 1500 copies were made of it. On the cover a tempting photo of Marisa Allasio, an Italian actress in the 50’s.
The title track is a cover of the Italian new-wave band Diaframma, sung by their singer Federico Fiumani himself. I’m not familiar with this band or the original version of the song, so I can’t make a comparison. But Argine plays this song with their usual passion, and with a nice arrangement of violin, trumpet, synths, guitar and bass. Singer Fiumani adds some charming vocals.
On the back of the single an alternate version of ‘Mundana Humana Instrumentalis’ can be found, the title track of their debut album. One of their better songs, here convincingly performed in a little slower version, lead by the lovely violin.
