Cell Division – Tsunami

Cell Division could be described best as a modern gothrock band. The band fuses modern sounding electronic drums and effects with a wave/gothrock like guitar based sound.
Most songs are rather energetic and rocky like ’Hypnotized’ and ‘Emperor of small emotions’, but there are also some slower and poppier pieces on Tsunami (‘Fingerprints’ and ‘Backstage’). What stands out on this record are the vocals by Gelgia C. These are very good and powerful, both in the faster and the slower songs. Overall the sound of Cell Division is not really original. But, for modern gothrock music this is an enjoyable album.
