Demeter – Addict

What immediately springs to mind when playing this record is the music of Garbage. ‘Addict’ is as much Garbage as Garbage itself. The track is a complete copy of the Garbage concept with a catchy refrain, a poppy electronic rhythm and a rocky guitar part. Even the vocals are almosy identical. ‘Addict’ is a strong song but a complete rip off of the succesful Garbage formula.
‘Dare You’ and ‘Falling’, the other two tracks on this EP are less like Garbage but also of lesser quality. I guess Demeter shows some skills but they really need to work on a style of their own.
