Eternia – From Dungeon’s Luxury of Doubt

The Nature of Gothic is an English label specialized in releasing gothic rock music. It is based in Whitby, the same place where the famous festival is held every year. So far the label proves to be a lover of traditional gothic rock/batcave music. Recently they released an album from the Dutch band Götterdammerung.

The cd from Eternia is a debut full length release from a solo artists called David Quinn. He too shows to have listened to many 80’s examples. The guitars are rocking in a Sisters/Fields manner, whereas the vocal style reminds me more of Ian Curtis. The cd is full of solid gothic rock, but misses some real highlights. Although I liked the album from Götterdammerung a bit better, this still is a decent gothic rock rock release. One of the stronger elements is the good alternation of soft and uptemo parts, creating an intense atmosphere.
The Nature of Gothic again proves to be label of interest for lovers of traditional goth music.
