A 12″ in a limited edition of 333 hand numbered copies with luxurious (naughty) insert, on the french label Cynfeirdd. First part of a split vinyl trilogy shared between Omne Datum Optimum, Gaë Bolg and the Church of Fand and Nothvs Filivs Mortis. The first two bands are present on this record, each with two songs. The medieval bombast of Gae Bolg impresses me here less than on their first album. The first track is rather slow and sacred, the second one is weird, soundscapish. Omne Datum Optinum, relatively unknown, is a nice suprise. Their first song is ritual and powerful, with orchestral parts and heavy drumming. The style reminds me of Elijah’s Mantle. the record is closed with a slow track, more ambient-like.
