Moljebka Pvlse – Duhka

Slowly but steadily Moljebka Pvlse seems to be getting more attention. After his amazing first CD on Pre-feed, his second CD on Cold Meat Industry and a collaboration with Negru Voda on Old Europa Caf? (Negru Pvlse), here is his third full-length album.

Moljebka Pvlse uses the sound of guitar and manipulates it with various effects and a computer, to create very minimal soundtrack-like ambient drones. Dukha consists of one long track (71 mins). The track is less dark than MP?s previous works, since it has a lot warmer sound, and is a lot more meditative.

Duhka is very minimal in its approach, but the more you listen to it, the more you can discern subtleties and details. Moljebka Pvlse takes his time to create a very harmonic ambient work, which works very meditatively. It reminds me a lot of earlier albums by Lull (Mick harris) and Final (Justin Broadrick) and can best be compared to these. It comes in a nice A5 sleeve with art-paper and is released on Isoramara, MP?s own label.
