Roger Rotor – Malleus Maleficarum

According to the musician himself this record can serve as a guide to identify and prosecute bad electronic music (which he calls living-room techno). Thus the title of this record (‘Malleus Maleficarum’ is the ‘Witchhammer’, a book that was used as a guide to track down and punish witches during the Inquisition). Also, this says enough about the atmosphere of this record.

Roger Rotor has delivered a harsh, dark and minimal techno record with Malleus Maleficarum. The tracks only slowly evolve and have an industrial
feeling to them. Some tracks are very minimal like Epidemic’ and ‘Fix the cruci’, but most are simply brilliant dancefloor material like ‘Under the cross’ and ‘Wolfish’.

This record will get both industrial and techno fans to move their feet. Malleus Maleficarum is a sinister minimal techno album made with a punk attitude.
