This single from Sol Invictus comes as a beautiful picture disc (a new part in a series released by World Serpent) with on one side artwork from Tor Lundvall, an artist whose work I admire, and on the other side an old woodcut from Lucas Cranach.
On side A of the single we find the song Eve, one of the better tracks of their latest album Hills of Crosses. A prominent part is reserved for Matt Howden’s violin playing, and Tony Wakeford does all the singing, whereas on the album the song is more of a duet with Sally Doherty. On the B-side an instrumental version of the song is enclosed, so we all can do a little karaoke…
