Biography:
Dark ambient music from Peter Andersson, who also releases work under various other names, like Necrophorus, Stratvm Terror and Atomine Elektrine. As Raison d´être he makes desolate, sorrowful soundscapes, collages of synthesizers, factory sounds, chants and samples. Andersson has made quite a number of good albums now, mostly on the Swedish Cold Meat Industry label. One of my favourites is “Enthralled by the winds of lonelieness”. A lot of early Raison d’etre work has been compiled on a double cd, “Collective Archives”, a retrospective of rare and unreleased material.
“The Empty Hollow Unfolds”, one of the most recent albums from Raison d’être, again sounds impressive and desolate. Recently the cd “Perception multiplied, multiplicity unified” has been released, with a nice overview of all the projects of Peter Andersson.
