Jorge Luis López was born in Acapulco, Mexico in 1977, but since 1992 he is living in Guadalajara. He is a self-taught painter.
“I studied Graphic Design at the University of Guadalajara. I like drawing since my childhood, I used to make copies of the great painters’ works. A few years ago I started to make my own creations, taking inspiration from my dreams and the bad politic situation of my country. Of course, every painting has a dark and sad ambience. Recently I´ve been experimenting with Black & white photography, taking landscapes and objects that show peace, calmness, melancholy and death.”
